More Information
Debora Iyall is back in California and releasing new songs filled with her trademark poetic lyrics and inimitable vocals. Spring 2010 finds her with a set list comprised of new material as well as many beloved and handpicked Romeo Void tunes.
She is best remembered for the spirited and provocative lyrics "I might like you better if we slept together" from the 1982 Romeo Void release "Nvr Say Nvr" on 415 Records. (Artists ranging from Amanda Blank to Queens of the Stone Age have recently covered the song.)
Debora's recent songwriting partner is producer/guitarist Peter Dunne (of Pearl Harbour and The Explosions fame) and they are currently working on an album of new material slated for a summer release. New music can be heard here.
In addition to Peter Dunne, Debora's band for this special show will also include Karl Sevareid (electric and stand-up bass) formerly with Robert Cray and Dawn Richardson (percussion), formerly with Tracy Chapman. |
