More Information

Down to Funk (pictured above) brings an explosive mix of old school soul, uninhibited funk, and new kickin' groove to every show. Made up of musicians from the 2013 class of USC, DTF performs with outstanding musicianship and enthusiasm and engages the audience at every opportunity. The band began by playing parties and small venues around downtown LA. Down to Funk has performed alongside bands such as Pinot, Tommy King, Battlehooch, and That Noise.

Born and raised in San Francisco, Rozzi Crane is a city girl with a soulful sound. Rozzi is a confident entertainer and with a powerful presence and a palpable star-quality, this girl is no stranger to the stage. Her background in dance and theater, allows her to perform with immense conviction and emotion; any listener is immediately enthralled by the magically unique sound of her voice.

Rozzi fell in love with soul and R&B at age fourteen when she was introduced to gospel music in her high school chorus. Since then, Rozzi has been developing her own brand of bluesy pop songs by writing, recording, and performing constantly. Catchy melodies and relatable lyrics mix with Rozzi’s smoky sound to create a unique sort of retro pop. And after working with esteemed producers and musicians such as Sundra Manning (Ledisi), Tal Morris (CCR), Mic Gillette (TOP), Amber Morris, and Don Boyette (Michael Jackson), Rozzi is well on her way to making her dreams come true.

Luke Walton is an 18 year old, singer/songwriter. Born in San Diego, Luke currently lives in L.A. studying the new “Pop Music” performance major at the University of Southern California. Contrary to popular belief, he is not a Los Angeles Laker.

The Luke Walton Band performs Luke’s songs electrically. It features Eric on piano, Logan on drums, Peter on electric violin, “Thor” on bass, and Luke on guitar/vocal/keys.

Sarah Ames has formulated a sound of her own by creating a new and aesthetically interesting mix of country and pop with subtle hints of blues. Faith Hill, Patty Griffin, Carrie Underwood, and Bonnie Raitt have all influenced Sarah’s ever-growing potential. Sarah’s apparent stage presence has stemmed from her years of performance. Dancing for numerous years, singing in high school choir and starring in her high school musicals, all contributed to her confident composure and ability to translate the emotions of her songs into a physical sensation for her audiences.

Right now, Sarah is among a select few of talented, young artists in the one of a kind Popular Music major at USC’s Thornton School of Music in Los Angeles. She continues to build up her repertoire, writing songs and working with her band composed of up-and-coming students like her. With this much drive and passion, it is clear to see that Sarah’s bound for a successful future in the recording industry.
