More Information

Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine have announced tour dates across California and Nevada in support of their latest LP "White People And the Damage Done." The cornerstone date of the tour is the 33 1/3 Birthday Celebration of Biafra's record label, Alternative Tentacles, with a star-studded show including Mojo Nixon, Death Hymn Number 9 and Pins Of Light. The 33 1/3 Birthday show will include Jello and Mojo giving a rare live performance of some of their classic Jello Biafra And Mojo Nixon "Prairie Home Invasion" album. Pins of Light and Death Hymn Number 9 will be supporting JB/GSM throughout the tour.

For the past 5 years, Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine have been shaking, stirring and jolting audiences throughout the Americas, Europe and Australia. In addition to several globetrotting tours and major festival performances including Coachella and Rebellion, the band has managed to release 2 EPs and 2 full-length albums. Their live show gives a generous nod to Jello Biafra's former band, Dead Kennedys, but they aren't content with just playing the punk hits. Jello's vision in the 21st century is more relevant than ever. With truckloads of new material that proves JB/GSM to be anything but a nostalgia act, they have embraced what you love best about Jello's commentary and insight, but this time, to a completely new and outrageous degree. This is the real deal, kids!

The band is a who's who of Bay Area musical royalty. With guitarists Ralph Spight (Victims Family, Freak Accident, Hellworms) and Kimo Ball leading the frontline (Mol Triffid, Griddle), bassist Larry Boothroyd (Victims Family) brings the low-end muscle, and Paul Della Pelle (Ruin, Helios Creed, Nik Turner's Space Ritual) ties it together as he rips the skins right off the drums.
